The assignment is executed within 1GNC (1 German-Netherlands Corps), a multinational headquarters where military and civilian personnel work closely together. The headquarters consists mainly of German and Dutch personnel and operates in an international environment where English is the mandatory working language. German and/or Dutch is desirable.
The activities take place within ICCW G6, focusing on the support of information and command-and-control capabilities for 1GNC Peacetime Locations (PTL) and, if required, deployed environments.
All activities are performed from 1GNC Münster (Germany). The candidate must be willing to work full-time on-site in Münster. Candidates already residing in Germany or with a German background are preferred.
The environment is strongly international and NATO-oriented. NATO security clearances apply. The working language is English, and the CV must be submitted in English.
The contractor fulfils the role of SO Capability Sustainment & Development / Enterprise Lead Architect and is responsible for:
Acting as Enterprise Lead Architect for all application, service, network and connectivity matters within the 1GNC CIS infrastructure, both static and deployed, including ICCW components, external national and international agencies and contractors.
Advising and supporting project teams in the development and implementation of national, bi- and multinational IT systems and applications, including requirements and delivery to both deployed environments and the existing CIS infrastructure of 1GNC Peacetime Locations (PTL).
Developing, reviewing and maintaining SOPs and SOIs related to changes and developments within the 1GNC CIS infrastructure.
Acting with a broad accountability to define strategy and ensure that ICT technologies are implemented in accordance with organisational needs, taking into account existing platforms, legacy systems and innovative developments.
Applying specific expertise to define relevant ICT technologies and specifications that can be used across multiple IT projects, applications and infrastructure improvements.
The function is aligned with the eCF profile Enterprise Architect (eCF3 Senior Professional / eCF4 Lead Professional).
The candidate has demonstrable work experience as an Enterprise Architect.
The candidate has demonstrable work experience with IT architecture.
The candidate has demonstrable work experience with virtualisation technologies and firewall configuration and management.
The candidate has demonstrable work experience with the implementation of large-scale IT solutions and the development of technology strategy.
The candidate has demonstrable work experience in a multinational working environment.
The candidate has knowledge of or experience with NATO C4ISR Technology.
The candidate is in possession of an ITIL Foundation certificate.
The candidate has proficiency in the English language at level 3332.
The candidate is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
The candidate has demonstrable work experience with cloud computing.
Preferably, the candidate has knowledge of strategic and tactical communication networks, particularly within The Netherlands, Germany and NATO.
