Background

All tasks related to the job to be executed from 1GNC, Münster, Germany. Candidate should be willing to work in Münster the whole week. Kind request to COMMIT to also try to identify candidates that are already living in Germany, or candidates with a German background. NATO clearances are applicable. Language of instruction is English. 1GNC is a multi-national Headquarter environment where military and civilians work close together (that is exempt from VAT). It contains mainly out of German and Dutch personal. Languages within the HQ (Headquarter) is mandatory English, preferable is also German and/or Dutch. Because of this, the CV has to be delivered in English

Assignment

Role SO IS SPT / FAS Mgt / Network Architect
-Act as network architect ICCW G6 Enterprise Lead Architect, Münster Detachment (MSDet) and staff branches for all static information domainsof 1GNC Peacetime Locations (PTL), including and if required in the deployed related domains; design, implement and manage the static networks from software and hardware perspective.
-Advice project teams during deployment and implementation of national and bi-/multinational systems on planning and implementation of Functional Area Services (FAS) WRT interoperability, security compliance and risk assessment.
-Plan, prepare and execute the provision and maintenance on onteroperability of information systems between national and international (NATO) C2 systems.

Mandatory qualifications

  1. Candidate has proven experience in IT-architecture.
  2. Candidate has proven workingexperience in a multi-national environment.
  3. Candidate has knowledge about or experience with NATO Networking Infrastructure and Digital Communication.
  4. Candidate holds a certificate in ITIL Foundation.
  5.  Candidate had experience with and courses completed for Functional Area Services (FAS) Operational Usage.
  6. Candidate has proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Candidate is proficient in English at level 3332.

Desirable qualifications

  1. Knowledge of strategic and tactical communications networls (esp. NLD, DEU and NATO) is preferred. 
  2. Functional Area Services (FAS) Operational Usage Overview (ETOC Course ID: CCC-CI-37006) is preferred. 
  3. NATO Networking Infrastructure (ETOC Course ID: CCC-DC-32237) is preferred. Digital Communication (JADL113) (ETOC Course ID: CCC-DC-22276) is preferred. 
  4. Working experience in military divisional or corps environment is preferred. 
  5. Knowledge of NATO Functional Area Services and Federated Mission (FMN) requirements is preferred. 
  6. NATO C4ISR Technology Orientation (ETOC Course ID: CCC-SM-22206) is preferred. 
  7. MS SharePoint User Training (ETOC Course ID: CCC-ET-32336) is preferred. 
  8. Certification in network architecture is preferred. University or bachelor degree in communications and/or information science is preferred. 
  9. Proficiency in the German language is preferred. 
  10. Experience in cloud computing is preferred. Experience in virtualisation technologies is preferred. 
  11. Experience in firewall configuration and management is preferred. 
  12. Working experience with Windows / Linux is preferred
